Arrow Season 6: Inside the Episode 'Docket No. 11-19-41-73'

I try very hard not to do spoilers for episodes and give warnings when I am going to talk about them, but The CW is making it very difficult this week with the newest episode of Arrow season 6, Docket No. 11-19-41-73. They've released an inside-the-episode video featuring executive producer and next season's showrunner, Beth Schwartz. Spoilers ahead!

The episode is the trailer of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) for vigilante activities and obstruction of justice. We're promised a lot of surprises, including Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) on the witness stand, and we're not sure if she will side with Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo), who is behind all of this, or if she'll go with Quentin Lance (Paul Blachthorne) and testify that Oliver is not the Green Arrow. This is also a chance for Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) to make amends for having originally spoke out against Oliver to get his daughter back. And of course they're making no secret about the return of Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell) dressed as the Green Arrow — which is probably the most important part of this whole thing.

If they're telling us that Tommy is back and showing him in the costume, then it's obviously not Tommy who died in season 1. The thing they're keeping from us is who he really is, and the top two possibilities are Tommy from Earth-2 or Christopher Chance (Wil Traval) done up as Tommy. My guess is the second one, but either way that reveal and the twists in the episode are bigger to the writers than the "Oh my god, it's Tommy" moment they could've had.

And for those wondering and don't know, the number in the title is a reference to the released date of More Fun Comics #73 (Nov 1941), the first appearance of Green Arrow.

Arrow airs tonight at 9 p.m. ET on the CW.
