Biden/Trump CNN Debate 2024 Viewing Guide: Where To Watch & More
With President Joe Biden and Convicted Felon Donald Trump set for tonight's CNN debate, here's our viewing guide to where to watch and more.
It's debate night, folks! Yup, President Joseph Biden will have a chance to face off against ex-reality show host, multi-impeached ex-POTUS, and convicted felon Donald Trump in what we're sure will be a disciplined and constructive conversation about the important issues facing our nation – and the world – in a way that will leave viewers better-educated voters heading into November. JUST KIDDING!! Nah – we're just f***ing with 'ya! It's probably going to be a royal s**t-show that will probably end up doing nothing more than feed red meat to both candidates' supporters. But knowing that a metaphorical trainwreck was going to happen the moment the debate was announced (a big boost to Warner Bros. Discovery and CNN during their Upfronts) doesn't mean you still don't want to check it out. With that in mind, here's Bleeding Cool's viewing guide to what's about to go down tonight and where to see and hear it all…
When/Where/What Time Is The Debate? The debate will take place on Thursday, June 27th, in a closed studio set at CNN's Atlanta headquarters – kicking off at 9 p.m. ET.
Is Donald Trump a Convicted Felon? Yes
Who Is Moderating The Debate? CNN's Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will serve as moderators.
What Are The Rules of The Debate? Here's where things get interesting because both candidates agreed to the following:
- Both candidates will stand at a podium with only a pen, a pad of paper, and a bottle of water (no pre-written notes)
- Each candidate's microphone will be muted when it isn't their time to speak.
- There will not be a live audience present.
- There will be two commercial breaks – candidates will not be able to communicate with their teams during those breaks.
- Based on a coin flip on Friday, the Biden campaign won the toss and chose the podium position over the order of the closing comments – meaning Trump will have the last word.
