The Witcher: Jaskier-Approved Season 2 Poster Proves Halloween Treat

Late last week at the Lucca Comics & Games Convention in Italy, showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, cast members Joey Batey (Jaskier) & Kim Bodnia (Vesemir), Production Designer Andrew Laws, and Costume Designer Lucinda Wright treated fans of Netflix's The Witcher to not just the official trailer (which alone would be good enough) but also a new set of preview images as well as an official key art poster. Now as impressive as it all was if you're a fan of Batey's Jaskier, then you got a feeling that something (or someone) was missing from that poster- the glue that holds the team of Henry Cavill's (Justice League) Geralt, Anya Chalotra's (The ABC Murders) Yennefer, and Freya Allan's (The Third Day) Ciri together. Thankfully, the streamer and Hissrich realized the errors of their ways and released a "treat" on Halloween giving the main man his due (as you're about to see):

Now here's a look back at what must have been an early prototype for the second season's poster that somehow made its way public (damn interns) so the streamer had no choice but to embrace it as "official":

Now here's your look at the official trailer & season overview for Netflix's The Witcher Season 2, premiering on December 17th:

Convinced Yennefer's life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent's kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

Netflix's The Witcher season 2 welcomes Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones) as Nivellen, Kim Bodnia (Killing Eve) as Vesemir, Yasen Atour (Young Wallender) as Coen, Agnes Bjorn as Vereena, Paul Bullion (Peaky Blinders) as Lambert, Aisha Fabienne Ross (The Danish Girl) as Lydia, Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton, Silent Witness) as Nenneke, Cassie Clare (Brave New World, The Bisexual) as Philippa Eilhart, Liz Carr (Silent Witness, Devs) as Fenn, Simon Callow (A Room with A View, Four Weddings and a Funeral) as Codringher, Graham McTavish (Outlander, Preacher) as Sigismund Dijkstra, Kevin Doyle (Downton Abbey, Happy Valley) as Ba'lian, Chris Fulton (Bridgerton, Outlaw King) as Rience, and newcomer Mecia Simson as Francesca.
