The Only New Comics In Comic Shops On New Years' Eve
As usual, it looks as if Diamond Comic Distributors won't be making a delivery to comic stores at the very end of the year, with New Comics Wednesday falling on New Year's Eve. Instead, publishers will be picking a few select titles and shipping them to stores the previous week, to be held for the next.
The solicitations indicate that these, so far, are:
- Earth 2 Worlds End #13
- New 52 Futures End #35
- Batman Eternal #39
- Star Trek/Planet Of The Apes #1 (of 5)
- S.H.I.E.L.D. #1
- Miracleman Annual #1
- X-O Manowar #31
- Grimm Fairy Tales: Realm War #6
Though it's possible that the chosen titles may grow as dates shift. A number of December-solicited books are lined up to ship the first week of January instead, including lots of DC collections, the Cerebus Cover Gallery, the Death Of Wolverine hardcover, the Secret Wars prose novel, Men Of Mystery, Holy F*ck #1, Crossed +100 and more. But, again, dates may shift closer to publication. Certainly some of those DC and Marvel heavy collections might do better shipping before Christmas Day rather than after…
