Frankensteining Marvel Comics Solicits For December 2016 – Hulk, USAvengers, Star Wars And Captain Marvel (UPDATE)
From The AV Club, StarWars.com, io9 and more… piecing together Marvel's offerings for December 2016. Are there any Rebirth-killers here?
Hawkeye #1
Written by Kelly Thompson (A-Force, Jem and the Holograms, Power Rangers: Pink) and with art by Leonardo Romero and Jordie Bellaire, finds Kate away from the epicentre of the clash between Captain Marvel and Iron Man on the West Coast, away from Hawkeye, and away from her former teammates. But while Kate hasn't hung up her quiver, she's not venturing to L.A. just as a superhero—she's on a case with personal stakes, and entering the world of private investigation in the city of Angels.
Star Wars: Classified #1 and #2
By Kieron Gillen and Kev Walker.
No it won't be called that. But that's how it will be solicited. A new ongoing Marvel series.
Mariko Tamaki and Nico Leon.
Jennifer Walters has had a rough summer. She suffered near-fatal injuries and the death of her cousin, Bruce "The Hulk" Banner, in the pages of Marvel's Civil War II crossover event, and that trauma is the foundation of Walters' new ongoing series debuting in December from writer Mariko Tamaki and artist Nico Leon. Hulk will explore how Walters' turbulent emotional state impacts her efforts to resume her life as a lawyer and superhero, and ditching the She-Hulkmarks a major shift for the character in the Marvel Universe.
Jason Aaron and Salvador Larocca
And in a new arc kicking off with Star Wars #26, it will add maybe its biggest contribution to Star Wars so far: a Yoda story, which Luke will read — without knowing who Yoda is or that it's actually about him — in Obi-Wan's recovered journals. If that wasn't reason enough to be excited, the issue will also welcome the talents of artist Salvador Larroca, fresh off the instant-classic Darth Vader series. StarWars.com snagged a first look at Larroca's in-progress pages and Stuart Immonen's cover, and spoke with Aaron about what readers can expect from the arc, finding a challenge worthy of Yoda, and other tales that old Ben Kenobi might have jotted down.
U.S.AVENGERS #1
Written by AL EWING
Art by PACO MEDINA

Billionaire playboy, Roberto Da Costa, has formed an all-new A.I.M. – American Intelligence Mechanics! Endorsed by the government and positioned to replace S.H.I.E.L.D., A.I.M. is here to protect the United States from the most outlandish threats imaginable. Their mission: save the world and have fun doing it!

The comic will focus on how, via the events of Civil War 2, Captain Marvel has become the most well-known hero in the Marvel Universe, a household name who is realizing that with popularity also comes pain.
