The Blackest Side Of Deadpool – Deadpool Noir By Mike Benson
Three ongoing series for Deadpool and a series of upcoming oneshots just aren't enough. I understand that the Marvel Noir line will take another member.
Beginning with Daredevil Noir, Spider-Man Noir and X-Men Noir, Marvel reimagined their central characters into 1930s American gangsterism and pulp crime fiction.
Deadpool, Deadpool: Merc With A Mouth, Deadpool Team-Up and a series of Deadpool one shots dubbed the Deadpool Corps – and questions if there will be a promotional Brown Ring to accompany the event.
And now we have a Deadpool Noir mini-series by Entourage writer and producer Mike Benson, and writer of Luke Cage Noir, to join the racks, with Wade Wilson's trademark wisecracks translated into the punchy patter of the genre.
The question is this – will Deadpool been seen to support three monthly series and a number of spinoffs as Spider-Man and the X-Men do. Or will it crash and burn like Ghost Rider and The Punisher, making the character unusable for a number of years.
