Creator: Brennan Neil
Concept: IN THE YEAR 2023, WHILE SEARCHING FOR A MEANS TO CREATE A MORE DOCILE AND SUBSERVIENT POPULACE, SCIENTISTS DISCOVER A LOW WAVE FREQUENCY BEING EMITTED BY HUMANS AT A LEVEL SEVERAL DEGREES BELOW DELTA. THIS SUB-DELTA FREQUENCY, DUBBED THE "GOD STRING PHENOMENON", PROVES A CONNECTION BETWEEN THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE IN A MEASURE NEVER BEFORE SUSPECTED.
ASSERTING THAT THE EFFECTIVE MANIPULATION OF THIS FREQUENCY IS THE KEY TO THEIR PROJECT'S SUCCESS, THE SCIENTISTS BEGIN TO EXPERIMENT WITH THE FREQUENCY. THE END RESULT OF THEIR WORK, A WAVE DISRUPTOR DESIGNED TO INTERACT WITH THE GOD STRING, BRINGS ABOUT NOT ONLY THE DOWNFALL OF CIVILIZATION, BUT OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE.
BEFORE THEY HAVE A CHANCE TO REALIZE THE UNBELIEVABLE TRUTH BEHIND WHAT THEY'VE DONE, REALITY ITSELF COLLAPSES AROUND THEM. WHAT IS LEFT IN THE WAKE OF THIS ANNIHILATION IS A FATE SO BIZARRE, SO FAR FETCHED, THAT YOU SIMPLY HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT.
Fundraising for: As I am writing and drawing the entire work myself, the money that I'm asking for will be going almost entirely to publishing and printing a quality run of Stick City, making it available to comic shops and fans worldwide. The cost for this will be almost exactly $9000. Which will cover printing and shipping costs for the entire series. I will also need $1000 to promote the work and make people aware. I have a very specific plan, involving a viral marketing campaign, social networks, posters and purposed online advertising.
So far: $160 of $10,000
Best reward: $100 for seven issues, signed and personalised.
Creator: C.A. Librizzi
Concept: After being laid off from their day jobs and the upstart comic company they spent a year working for folded. C.A. Librizzi and Brandon Longstreth decided to take a shot at their dreams and launch a comic book company with a fresh and unique take on the super hero genre. They called this company Fay Wraygun press, a completely digital comic book company with a cohesive universe, and a diverse set of main characters. Straying away from the traditional straight white male protagonist, and the over sexualized white female protagonist.
Fundraising for: Your ten dollars will be going to pay the artist, colorist and letterer so we can produce the first run of Fay Wraygun press books. As well as covering the costs of the marketing and digital disturbing.
So far: $20 of $15,000
Best reward: For $10 get all eighteen issues.
Project: Fubar/215 Ink Free Comic Book Day 2012
Creators: Jeff McComsey, Steve Becker, Jim McMunn, Jason Copland, Mark Bertolini, Adam Wilson and Jolene House
Concept: Free comic book day is an annual event, held on the first Saturday in May where just about every major comic book company distributes a few titles for free to comic shops all across the country. The idea is to bring in new fans and get old fans back in on what ends up being one of the busiest days of the year for comic shops.
It's just about nigh impossible for indie guys like ourselves to participate in this nationwide event but with your help we think we've got a shot.
We've devised a way to double up our books so that once printed they can be cut down and one book becomes 2 mini comics chock full of Indie pulp fiction.
Fundraising for: To get FUBAR and 215 Ink books printed and distrubuted to comic stiores for free on Free Comic Book Day.
So far: $2240 of $1200 – new goal $2600
Best reward: $35 – JESUS HATES ZOMBIES REWARD: For this reward you get both volumes 1 and 2 of Jesus Hates Zombies: Jurassic Kind of Life, both 28 page FUBAR and 215 INK Free Comic Book Day books and assorted stickers and pins as well as the FUBAR wallpaper. OVER 216 PAGES OF INDIE PULP FICTION!
Project: The Art of Carpe Chaos
Creator: Carpe Chaos
Concept: After running tables at conventions, making a DeviantArt gallery, starting a wiki on our site, tweeting preview images on Twitter, and everything else… we're figuring out that organizing everything into a comprehensive concept art book is the best way to show people our humungous universe.
Fundraising for: The book itself will be about 150 pages, and if we raise more than 100% of our goal then we'll be able to expand it because we have enough material to fill 300 pages or more. The book will have as much awesome stuff as we can cram into it, including:
The designs for the Porgs, Kaeans, Turikasul, Xotron, and Embarnik, as well as our more minor races like the Garnams, Astavers & Dovars, Breydolans, and more
The clothing and costume concepts for all of the species that, you know, wear clothes
The weapons concepts, plus other miscellaneous technology like respirator masks and local transportation vehicles
The scenes we've painted for the different environments and the creatures that inhabit them
The architecture styles of the different races, both modern and ancient
The different spaceship designs we've made for each of the races.
So far: $2595 of $5000
Best Reward: $25 – YOU GET A BOOK — Everything in the DIGITAL WITH A SHIRT package plus a copy of the book itself! This includes shipping to anywhere in the United States! Giving $20 or more also means your name will be added to the credits page of the book. Add $5 for international shipping.
Creator: Quinton Miles and Angela Corbin
Concept: SMOOTH is a five issue all-ages miniseries starring the title character, "Smooth" Newt the Fox. Seeking a bigger thrill in his life, Newt leaves his illustrious acting career behind to start his own private investigation agency. With the help of his talkative assistant Jabber the Parrot and friend/police contact Kaitlin Terry, the trio work together to solve crimes around the city of Star Town.
SMOOTH is inspired primarily by things like LOONEY TUNES, BONKERS from the Disney Afternoon block, the video game GEX (points if you remember that!), and even a little bit of CALVIN AND HOBBES.
Fundraising for: All funds raised go directly towards the production costs to complete, market, and publish the series on various eBook outlets. If we got really lucky and exceeded our goal, the additional funds would likely go towards a small print run for a trade paperback of the first five issues. Should that happen, we'll add a couple of reward incentives to accomodate. If we got really REALLY lucky, we'd like to make SMOOTH an ongoing digital series, and would use the remaining funds to cover production costs for a new four issue arc + anthology issue.
So far: $15 of $8000
Best reward: $10 for DRM-free PDFs of all five issues as they're released. That's 100+ pages of content!

This money will go to cast, crew, locations, costumes, vfx, color correct and all those other costs that crop up.
