At New York Comic Con last year, screenwriter Leo Chu stated that the film would be rated PG-13 for "intense action" with the director Junpei Mizusaki saying "PG-13, it's a little hard to show limbs flying… Maybe just imagine it in your head. There are some scenes that come a little close to that."
In Batman Ninja, an upcoming Japanese animated film produced by Warner Bros, Batman is transported to Feudal Japan and must battle reimagined versions of his villains alongside his allies. Aiding the Dark Knight are Japanese versions of Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, Robin, Alfred Pennyworth, and Catwoman. Villains confirmed to appear include Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Two-Face, Clayface, Deathstroke, and Gorilla Grodd. Takashi Okazaki, the creator of Afro Samurai, is the character designer for the film.
It is set to be released later this year.
