DC Comics to Replace Damaged Copies of Batman #56

Last week Batman #56 was one of the first to have this month's foil cover designs which have proved rather popular in stores. However while it is not as universal an experience as some have believed, some stores reported damages to the covers of all their Batman #56.

There have also been reports that Diamond Comic Distributors had told retailers that this was a company-wide issue and there was no way to get replacements.

Well, it seems that just wasn't true. Because these reports were enough and DC Comics has decided to replace any damages. Retailers will receive replacement first printing copies of this issue at no cost to themselves, in quantities equal to the number of copies reported as damaged by yesterday. As for the damaged copies, stores are welcome to keep them. No sending back or pulling covers necessary.

The replacement copies are scheduled to arrive in stores on October 31st.
