'The Twilight Zone': CBS All Access Books Season 2 Travel Through Another Dimension
CBS All Access is booking another journey into Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg's The Twilight Zone, officially renewing the anthology series for a second season after a record-setting premiere and strong positive reaction from critics and viewers.
"Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg's reimagining of The Twilight Zone is off to an amazing start on CBS All Access, driving the most viewers on its premiere day for an original series to date. Jordan, Simon, the creative team and cast have done a phenomenal job translating the series' legacy of socially conscious storytelling for modern-day audiences. They are master storytellers, and we look forward to bringing fans further into The Twilight Zone with a second season."
– Julie McNamara, Executive Vice President – Original Content, CBS All Access
The original The Twilight Zone premiered on Oct. 2, 1959 on CBS. The series took viewers to another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind. As the godfather of sci-fi series, the show explored humanity's hopes, despairs, prides and prejudices in metaphoric ways conventional dramas could not.
In 2019 viewers will enter another dimension with Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg's modern re-imagining of the classic. CBS All Access' THE TWILIGHT ZONE anthology series will bring the original show's legacy of socially conscious storytelling to modern day audiences, exploring the human condition and holding a lens up to the culture of our times.
The first season of The Twilight Zone is currently available on-demand through CBS All Access – currently, five episodes are available with new episodes debuting weekly on Thursdays. With executive producer Peele as host and narrator additional cast members for this season have included Ike Barinholtz, Zazie Beetz, John Cho, Lucinda Dryzek, Taissa Farmiga, James Frain, Betty Gabriel, Ginnifer Goodwin, Zabryna Guevara, Percy Hynes-White, Greg Kinnear, Luke Kirby, Sanaa Lathan, Kumail Nanjiani, Chris O'Dowd, Seth Rogen, Adam Scott, Rhea Seehorn, Alison Tolman, Jacob Tremblay, Jefferson White, Jonathan Whitesell, Jessica Williams, DeWanda Wise, and Steven Yeun.
The Twilight Zone is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Peele's Monkeypaw Productions and Kinberg's Genre Films. Peele and Kinberg serve as executive producers along with Win Rosenfeld, Audrey Chon, Glen Morgan, Carol Serling, Rick Berg, and Greg Yaitanes.
