"Will & Grace" On-Set Friction Leads to "No Karen!" for 2 Eps [REPORT]

From the sounds of things, maybe this season is as good a time as any to wrap up the return of NBC's Will & Grace. Amid rumors of on-set tension between Megan Mullally and co-star Debra Messing, TV Line reported exclusively that Mullally recently took a "temporary leave of absence"from filming the series' final 18 episodes. While an official reason for her time away has not been released, her character Karen is expected to be absent from two episodes (which would air later in the season).

Apparently, the warning signs of building tensions among the cast began earlier this year – and because it's 2019, it start on social media. Fans brought to light the fact that Mullally and Messing had stopped following each other on Instagram and were rarely seen together in the show's social media posts (and apparently Mullally also unfollowed co-star Sean Hayes).

Yes, it does sound like an upcoming episode…

For Mullally's part, she proved herself a series team player by promoting Thursday night's 11th season premiere with a personal on-set video – possibly as a little push-back to the reports? Hmmm…
