The 28 Covers Of Tony Stark: Iron Man – And How Retailers Can Order Them

Today we're looking in depth at some of the pressures placed on comic book retailers when it comes to launches, especially from Marvel Comics.

In the month of June, Marvel Comics is relaunching Iron Man, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Thor and Deadpool. And there are opportunities – and pressures – when it comes to that, And if often involves variant covers.

We start with Marvel's Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 and its Launch Party initiative.

Participating retailers must order 200% of their orders for Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 as they did for Invincible Iron Man #599.

Those who do will then be able to order as many copies of the Tony Stark Iron Man #1 Connecting Party Variant, the Immortal Hulk #1 Connecting Party Variant and Thor #1 Connecting Party Variant.

Every participating retailer will receive one copy of Tony Stark Iron Man #1 Connecting Party Sketch Variant and can order two copies of the Tony Stark Iron Man #1 Premiere Variant.

There will be a 'party item' made available as well. No details yet…

Retailers who order 250% of their orders for Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 as they did for Invincible Iron Man #599 will get a significant discount on the price of their order, with smaller discounts for those who order 200%.

Then there are the tiered variants.

Retailers can order one Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 Granov Variant for every 25 copies of the standard cover.
Retailers can order one Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 Ross Variant for every 50 copies of the standard cover.
Retailers can order one Tony Stark: Iron Man #1 Aja Variant for every 100 copies of the standard cover.

And then, for retailers who exceed 200% of their orders for Avengers #676 with their orders for Tony Stark Iron Man #1, they can then order the following additional covers on top.
