8 Issues In, Lin Lie Finally Gets the Hang of this Thing in Sword Master #8 [Preview]

Sword Master #8 is in stores from Marvel Comics this week, by Shuizhu and Gunji, adapted by Amy Chu, and it looks like things may be finally turning around for ol' Lin Lie.

For most of the series, the title Sword Master has been a bit ironic, as hero Lin Lie has been unsure of himself and certainly a master of nothing.

Apparently Ji Shuangshuang has gotten a bit sick of this too, and she's decided to try the old "toss him off a building and hope he figures it out" approach to teaching.

And with his body racing toward doom, Lin Lie has no chance but to be the titular Sword Master he's destined to be.

Well, or he could die screaming like a baby.

In the end, he does turn things around… sort of. It looks like it's the sword who's the master here.

Nice job! Of course, there's still the matter of falling toward his death, but hopefully he'll work that out when Sword Master #8 hits stores on Wednesday.
