So, How Fascist is Age Of X-Man? Next Gen #1 Opens Up This Brave New World… (Spoilers)
Bleeding Cool gave you the heads up on the Anti-Love and Anti-Sex Agenda of Age Of X-Man, the current mutant reality being published by Marvel right now, as well as what may have inspired it. And a glimpse of the heteronormative romance in the upcoming Amazing Nightcrawler, coded as homosexual in the Hollywood of the early twentieth century.
Tomorrow brings a new generation to this now-definitely-a-dystopia-not-a-utopia parallel existence, created by Nathan Grey who has oedipal issues up the wazzoo, and no intention for anyone, but especially not his parents, having sex with each other and giving birth to children. It only ends in tears.
Age Of X-Man: Next Gen looks at some of the kids at the Summers Institute, and it's your favourite Class Of Grant Morrison and other newcomers. And we learn there are other changed in this reality.
We knew Hope Summers died. We knew the Resolution is something important – a final mutant battle. We may have even seen some of it, against Stryfe. And as well as Wolverine, Professor Xavier and Cyclops being among the dead, you can also add Rogue and Gambit to that number. Mr & Mrs Ex, as it were.
As people are created in vitro in hatcheries, so their birthday is their 'hatch day'.
People don't clap, they snap. Beats jazz hands. Could the symbolic union of two hands coming together, rhythmically be a tad too suggestive for this puritanical world?
It's getting to levels of Lady Windermere's Fan right now.
Your jobs are assigned to you and questioning that, or doubting those in charge, is anathema.
Because, oh yeah, it's totally fascist.
Or at least totalitarian. And everyone is being lied to…
What is the real truth? Start finding out tomorrow…
