Sorry, I've been watching the local car dealership ads that precede this WKYC report on a comic store stepping up ahead of the Republican National Conference thing happening in Cleveland, and giving away these Captain America prints with any purchase, with an "It's Gonna Be A Riot" slogan.

You know, if there is a riot, these may well become collectors items.

The Cap poster is parody and we look at it as Bipartisan. We have no desire to see riots in our city.

While Joyce Brabner is raising money to fund a comic book artist protest against the conference, and its Presidential nominee Donald Trump, including protective gear in the face of police intervention.

I was just asked by a reporter if it was true that some of this Go FundMe money is now going to pay for protective gear for the artists. Yes, that's true. I don't want anybody going cowboy but experience has taught us that we will need protection from possible tear gas, pepper spray, concussion bombs, etc.

Some of us will choose to cover protests. Others will choose to talk to people one to one. Regardless, these folks are my guests, this is my city and I have watched it change because of the kind of people Trump whips into a frenzy. I want our people safe.
