Chaos Descends on Industry as Mirka Andolfo's Unnatural #1 Rushed Back for 2nd Printing

The comic book industry was caught in the grips of utter chaos Friday as Image Comics desperately attempted to keep up with what a press release referred to as "overwhelming customer demand" for Unnatural #1, the hit new comic by writer/artist Mirka Andolfo. According to the press release, the demand for the comic was so urgent that it had to be "rushed back to print" and "fast-tracked," presumably before angry fans began gathering outside Image's Portland headquarters, gripping fistfuls of dollar bills, demanding issues of the comic, and setting fire to unflattering effigies of Image COO Robert Kirman.

And so, as a result of what we can only assume to be heroic and heretofore impossible efforts by Image Comics as well as its partners in the printing, distribution, and retail sectors of the comics industrial complex, Unnatural #1 will hit stores on Wednesday, August 8th. Hopefully, the world can hold itself together until then. Of course, that's the day Unnatural #2 hits stores, which could restart the entire cycle all over again.

UNNATURAL #1, 2nd printing (Diamond code: MAY189856) and UNNATURAL #2, Cover A (Diamond code: JUN180266), Cover B (Diamond code: JUN180267), and Cover C (Diamond code: MAY189261) will hit stores on Wednesday, August 8th. The final order cutoff deadline for comics retailers is Monday, July 16th.
