Comic Shop, Strange Attractors, Reopens in a Garden Centre
Comic book store Strange Attractors, previously at the Spalding Lifestyle Centre in Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire has moved to the Baytree Garden Centre, in nearby Weston, holding its grand opening today.
Alexander Hunt, owner of the store said "This year has been very successful for us, we've launched our first product the Strange Apparitions bags and participated in our first comic convention last month. We hosted the international event Halloween Comicfest last year with which had a fantastic response, we're looking to build upon it hugely."
Baytree, the UK's largest independent garden centre, had to approve the move of Strange Apparitions and Uptown Vinyl Records, also from the Spalding Lifestyle Centre. "We are thrilled to be moving together," continued Alexander, "we share a lot of the same customers, and feel we are becoming a destination for collectors."
Who might pick up a pot plant at the same time, or maybe some much-needed secateurs? Or non-secateurs. Like that one.
Alex is also making changes "We will have double the space of our current shop and an expanded selection, Manga is something we're eager to flesh out. We want to stock more indie comics, have a far larger amount of retro toys available, and even host our first signing event."
A Swamp Thing promotion? How about the new Image series Rose? Will everyone be cosplaying as Poison Ivy?
Strange Apparitions closed the doors of their Pinchbeck shop two days ago and reopened today.
You can find them at Baytree Garden Centre, High Rd, Weston, Spalding, PE12 6JU, and see how they did right here…
