Enormous Being Snapped Up On eBay After Fox TV Deal Announced
Enormous is already a big hit on the comic book aftermarket.
But now it's going to be an enormous one.
Fox Television Studios and New Regency Television are adapting the comic book series by Tim Daniel and Mehdi Cheggour published first by Image Comics and then 215 Ink.
Set in the near future, the comic book series finds the world suffering a planetary resource crisis when a vast ecological cataclysm spawns The Enormous, massive beasts unlike anything ever witnessed. Displaced from atop the food-chain, humankind struggles to stave off extinction, and a shattered society scrambles for refuge in the wake of the monstrous rampage.
Amid the ashes of Phoenix, Ariz., Ellen Grace, a former school teacher who lost everything and everyone she loved in the uprising, leads a search and rescue team into the ruins of the city in hopes of locating children orphaned by the cataclysm. But not all the remaining humans seek salvation, and in a world dominated by monsters, man is still the most dangerous animal of all.
Produced by Andrew Poltkin of New Regency Television and Adrian Askarieh of Prime Universe Films it's time to find a showrunner.
The Image Comics version from 2012 sold for $20 recently with the 2014 first issue selling for $12, with some of the rarer variant cover and CGC slabbed version going for a lot more. But some issues in the series have recently sold for a lot less.
But with the TV series news, there hasn't been a sale of Enormous on eBay for three days, though there are generally two or three every day. But today there have been fourteen… they are being hoovered up! Mondo #3, which featured a preview of Enormous, also just sold for $20.
Here's how the Machinima version looked…
