Writing partners are an interesting thing. So much of writing is done in ones head that it's tough to being someone else in on what you're doing until the work is on the page. To find someone who can come in and work with you, to help grow the plot, story and dialogue is difficult and often leads to someone feeling like they're contribution got overrode by the other. Find a writing team that can produce a good series of work, that's rare. Finding a pair that can do it over and over again in multiple genres is almost unheard of. Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray seem to be that exception. Superheroes, Westerns, Science Fiction… they can handle it all.

On the 21st of March sees the release of Cell Block Earth and Other Stories, a trade paperback from Dark Horse that has Palmiotti and Gray joining up with artists Juan Santacruz, Tony Akins and Andy Kuhn. The trade includes two stories from Dark Horse Presents, Wrestling with Demons and The Deep Sea, plus the brand new story Cell Block Earth.
