General Callahan has been appearing as the big bad in two of Matthew Rosenberg's books Astonishing X-Men and New Mutants. We wondered if he might pop up in Uncanny X-Men as well. Especially as New Mutants ended in mid-stream a bit…

 

But Astonishing X-Men #17, out today, may have put the kibosh on that a bit. With Gallahan turning up at the Mansion and meeting Kitty Pryde…

And the deal is done. Callahan gets taken off the table. Or at least until someone wants to play with Havok. Or work out what happened with the missing New Mutants. Or maybe when Scott comes back and asks after his brother…

But he's parked for now.
