Get Ready To Rock As Valiant Announces X-O Manowar #1 Release Day Tour Dates

Well, too bad, because you're not involved in this, Cleveland. Nobody likes you. Go away.

If you're in one of the 26 other cities scheduled for Valiant's X-O Manowar #1 Release Day Tour, then you should get ready to rock, because the Flying V is coming to your local on March 22 — that's the first X-O Manowar Wednesday of the year –to promote the release of X-O Manowar #1. Specifically, the company is sending "representatives" to each of the comic shops listed on their tour poster, which means that your shop could end up with anyone from Valiant's talented and friendly staff of creators, editors, and executives, or Tom Brennan, live on-site to celebrate this momentous occasion with free "prizes and promotional items," plus a twenty minute long acoustic rendition of Stairway to Heaven performed by Valiant CEO Dinesh Shamdasani that you have to hear to believe (but we won't spoil it by saying whether that's because it's really good or really bad).

On top of all of that, you can pick up the first issue of Valiant's "brutal sci-fi epic in the making," plus get drunk on FREE BEER.*

So check out the poster below and see if there's a tour stop near you, and even if not, you can still stop by your regular old boring shop and pick up this cool comic while daydreaming about how much fun the citizens of Glassboro, NJ are having with a leather-jumpsuit-clad Editor-in-Chief Warren Simons leading them in a sing-along of all your favorite classic rock hits.

Born under the oppressive thumb of the Roman Empire, Aric of Dacia learned warfare at an early age. It was amid such violence that he was abducted by an alien race. Forced into slavery, he survived where others perished. His escape would come from bonding with a weapon of immeasurable power: the X-O Manowar armor. With it, he returned to Earth…only to find himself stranded in the modern day.

But that was a lifetime ago.

Now, far from home on a strange and primitive new world, Aric has begun a new life. Liberated from his past, he tends to his crops. Free from war. Free from violence. Free from the armor.

But the machinery of death marches his way once again. Conscripted into an alien army and thrown into an unforgiving conflict, the fury inside him finds voice as he is forced to embrace the armor once more. With it, he will decimate armies, topple empires and incite interplanetary warfare as he rises from SOLDIER to GENERAL to EMPEROR to VISIGOTH. They wanted a weapon. He will give them war!
