Happy Fiftieth Birthday, Hawkeye. I Guess.

So, given that the current Hawkeye book is delayed…

The "Hawkeye" series has been delayed due to unforeseen circumstances in the lives of the creative team, but issue #19 is being worked on now. Brevoort promised that news would be forthcoming soon about the book's return. He encouraged fans upset about it not to yell at him on Tumblr, with a smile.

Maybe it's more important than ever to celebrate this month's fiftieth anniversary of the first appearance of Hawkeye, everyone's second favourite archer. It's just a shame that no one seems to have noticed.

He first appeared in Tales of Suspense #57 published in June 1964 as an Iron Man villain, before joining the Avengers and eventually leading the West Coast Avengers before dying in Avengers Dissembled, revived in House Of M and made a household name with The Avengers movie.

So how will Marvel be commemorating this memorable event in tomorrow's Avengers #31?
