How Will Retailers Get New Walking Dead Silver and Gold Variants?

We mentioned earlier today that Image Comics and Skybound are to publish a new issue of The Walking Dead, a Negan one-shot by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard arriving in stores for July 1st sale. Retailers will be getting free copies, to sell as they choose, a little revenue raiser in this time of strife. But how will stores get copies?

The number of copies sent to retailers (free, including shipping) are based on each retailers' entire orders for The Walking Dead #193 (regular cover). Accounts too new to have ordered The Walking Dead #193 will instead receive a discretionary allocation.

Then retailers will receive two free copies of Negan Lives #1 Silver Variant and one free copy of Negan Lives #1 Gold Variant per storefront.

Additional copies can the be ordered at the usual discount off a $4.99 cover price. Negan Lives #1 will not be available digitally and will be available exclusively at comic book shops.

Negan Lives #1 (MAR208199) is a 36-page, black and white comic book, available exclusively at comic book shops on Wednesday, July 1, the same day as the Fire Power, Vol. 1: Prelude original graphic novel and the FCBD Fire Power #1 free promotional comic, both by Kirkman and co-creator/artist Chris Samnee.
