Kieron Gillen's Beard Makes BBC News

Every kid in Britain grows up with BBC's Newsbeat. The BBC Radio 1 news bulletin that gets in the way of the music but ends up educating a generation into what's going on. Maybe. Usually with an actual news story, a music news story and something weird and ridiculous.

Well, yesterday, that last bit was Kieron Gillen. Currently the comic book writer of Marvel's Star Wars comic, The Wicked + The Divine, Uber, Modded and all manner of other odd stuff.

I'm sure Kieron expected to be on Newsbeat one day, considering his comic book work, and history with games and music journalism. But he probably didn't expect he'd do it like this.
