Lipstick Cliqa Leaves Scout Comics For Execution Posse Record Company

Lipstick Cliqa was a comic book published by Scout Comics but has now found a new home with record company Exquisite Posse Holdings.

Lipstick Cliqa was a comic book published by Scout Comics. Bleeding Cool covered some of the difficulties they encountered with creators, and vice versa. Issue 1 was published in November, but issue 2 went down the memory hole.

Execution Posse Holdings is a record label and now a comic book publisher, and have picked up  Lipstick Cliqa with the first issue being republished and distributed via Lunar Distributors. Written by Kayden Phoenix, creator of A La Brava, the first Latina superhero team and drawn by Marcelino Servicio, it is part of Execution Posse's first comic book solicitations.

Lipstick Cliqa is a fierce, all-female gang of shape-shifting vampire cholas, they are led by the fearless Morissa who expertly wields her trademark, razor whip. Morissa's most trusted and twisted cohorts are hard-as-nails, Lil Snap and the towering Amazonian Daya. Morrisa and her gang hail from the barrio of East LA where they fight to protect their home turf from rival supernatural gangs like the Chamberlains and Kill-Town. Combining horror, action and street culture, Lipstick Cliqa is from Ex Posse, the company who delivered the hit underground series Night of the Cadillacs, presented in a special 64-page format for this first issue.

Lipstick Cliqa #2 solicitation from the last time it was solicited, reads "Morissa and her gang of shape-shifting cholas are back with a vengeance. The crew battles rival gangs to protect their home turf and take control of the lucrative blood trade business. Emerging victorious from a wild street takeover competition, Morrisa and her gang impress the rulers of Blood World City, who offer them a life-and-death deal they can't refuse…" Look out for Lunar's October 2024 solicitations for Execution Posse Holdings I guess.
