Is Martian Manhunter Really Going to Kill [Spoiler]man in Justice League?

Today sees the release of the quarter-million-selling Justice League #1 by Scott Snyder, Jim Cheung, Mark Morales and Tomeu Morey – which we teased and reviewed earlier and also noted some rather fruity language and Joker appearance within.

But we also get to see J'onn J'onnz who now appears to have been retconned back into being a founding member of the Justice League. It was all Dr Manhattan's doing, you know. And who, while linking the League up telepathically and trying to see the bigger picture, sees a really big picture indeed. The far future – and his impending actions, seen in first-ish personish perspective. Digging up people, shouting that the new armies are coming, and Darkseid doors with gods on the other side opened up…

But his hands around the throat of someone very familiar.

Starman? Starman? We haven't seen Starman in an age. And now we're not sure we want to anymore… I know Geoff Johns is meant to be bringing back the Justice Society in Doomsday Clock… will Scott Snyder get to Starman first? And kill him off? Is James Robinson in the room?

Ah well, not to worry, because even more people than died at the end of Infinity War are about to bite the bullet in the DC multiverse too…
