Marvel Comics "Down With The Kids" – Android Phones, Women's Voices, Fist Bumps And Forums

It's a bold new era of Marvel Legacy! Until the next bold new era and actual relaunches of 2018 anyway. And it's time to get down with the kids. And I don't mean The Champions, their comic is all terribly serious, and doesn't even have one reference to hashtags.

Though it does have a brand new look for their resident android. Coincidentally, Peter Parker gets a brand new phone in today's Amazing Spider-Man, but it's not one of his own.

It's a 'droid. An Alchemax Droid. With a stylised A for a logo and not, say this logo for the Google Android mobile device company.

Because that's okay, one of the tech companies has a new line of actual androids that look like, well, the Android logo. Although there are some issues that Mockingbird is ideally suited to address.

Rarely a problem with her own voice. But that does get down with the kids' concerns, apparently. Along with the cultural appropriation of teaching the planet of Skaar the concept of the fist bump over in today's Incredible Hulk…

While Secret Warriors reveals all the young superheroes talk to each other on a messageboard called The Forums.

With all their avatars too. But really? Messageboards in 2017? The forums? They wouldn't be… Compuserve forums? Or Delphi forums? I know the kids are all into retro, but you might as well be communicating via comments on a slow-motion running deer video.

Bloody hipster kids. They'll all be on Mastodon next….
