Friend of Bleeding Cool, Jesse James of Jesse James Comics in Glendale, Arizona, has a new thing. Another new thing. He writes:

Marvel Comics Has Their First eBay-Exclusive Variant Covers

"Okay, we have been teasing this for a month… We are very excited to announce our partnership with eBay on some really cool exclusives you can only get through the online store. I will share our first book in a few. You can preorder on the 6th with release date on the 8th. This will sell out extremely fast… This is why you work hard on building a BRAND. We want to thank our team and our customers for leading the way. We also want to Thank our publisher partners for always being a phone call away. Of course, Steve Geppi and Diamond Distributors for getting this completed in the end."

And the first eBay-exclusive variant cover? For Star Wars #38…

"Here you go! Our first exclusive with our eBay partners. This will be up on presell on the 6th and ships on the 8th…"

I wonder if any other retailers will have anything interesting to say about this arrangement? And could they get in on it as well?
