Marvel NOW! Increases Reorders Across The Board
Marvel NOW! dominates the Advance Reorder chart, that measures the amount of advance reorders Diamond Comic Distributors is receiving before the comics actually ship. This is often distorted by high price items, second prints and variant prints, but it does provide a ground level look at what comics retail is concerned with right now. The hundred dollar price tag gives the Hyrule Historia book from Dark Horse a leg up but I've heard some very good things about their numbers.
And it seems that, after a rocky start, retailers are all over Marvel NOW!, first issues of Aengers and Superior Spider-Man as well as fifth issues of All New X-Men, reflecting strong sales in store of the first issue. DC does make its presence known further down the chart, a mix of Death Of The Family, the Annuals and Justice League. But it seems, if nothing else, that the MarvelNOW hype has finally kicked in and is working.
And for reorders of books that have already shipped, Walking Dead regains its dominance of the chart…
