New Faces at Diamond Comic Distributors…
Diamond Comic Distributors has been making some staffing changes of late, which makes for a good time to run around some of the new faces — and slightly older faces in new positions at the largest comic book speciality distributor in the world.
Andrea Purcell has been promoted from Editorial Assistant to Retailer Marketing Manager, after joining the company in 2014 as a Social Media Intern. As an ex-comic store employee, in her new role, she will handle much of the content on Diamond's Retailer Services Website and in Diamond's Diamond Daily retailer e-newsletter. I look forward to cutting and pasting as much of her work as possible.
Troy-Jeffrey Allen has been promoted from Digital Marketing and Community Engagement to Consumer Marketing Digital Content Editor–Comics. He will oversee all comics-related content and video on Previewsworld.
Amber Birt has joined the Marketing department as a Social Media Marketing Coordinator, after working as a marketing artist for Pole To Win International. She will manage the consumer content on Diamond's various social media platforms.
Ethan Felderstein has joined the Marketing department as Consumer Marketing Digital Content Editor – Toys after working as a Sports Writer at The Post. Felderstein will oversee all toy-related articles and content for Diamond's ToyChestnews website, as well as additional toy related content directed towards retailers.
Ashton Greenwood has joined Diamond's Marketing department as Publicity and Promotions Associate after working at Charlotte Russe. She will handle public relations, as well as Diamond's two key retailer events, Free Comic Book Day and Halloween ComicFest.
Caitlin McCabe has been promoted from Purchasing Manager – Premier Vendors to Director of Purchasing. She joined Diamond in 2013 as a Brand Manager, then a Print Team Manager. Now, in her new role, she will oversee Diamond's business dealings with Image Comics.
Megan Cosman has joined Diamond's Print Team, working in the Purchasing department as a Brand Manager after working as a Hot Topic manager.
Leigh Tyberg has also joined Diamond's Print Team, working in the Purchasing department as a Brand Manager, after graduating. They will both coordinate Diamond's business dealings with a variety of publishers.
Congratulations and good luck to all.
