Absolute Daytripper Slips Off The Schedule for 2019

The Mister Miracle trade paperback slipped from the 16th of January to the 13th of February, well the individual issues have also been slipping.

Sandman Omnibus HC Vol. 3, already resolicited once, slipped from the 23rd of January to the 6th of March.

And Absolute Daytripper, a collection of Fabio Ba and Gabriel Moon's classic Daytripper series in the oversized hardcover slipcased format developed by Scott Dunbier, saw the book slip from the 27th of February all the way to the 24th of July 2019. Hell of a trip.

But a trip too far, it seems. Comic book retailers have now been informed that the book has been cancelled and will be resolicited at a later date. Yup, even later than July 2019. And all orders under the Diamond code JUL180715 have been cancelled – the listing has been scorched out of Previewsworld. It is still on Amazon US for July and Amazon UK for March – but not for long I'm guessing.

The Eisner Award-winning Daytripper follows Bras de Olivias Dominguez during different periods in his life, each with the same ending: his death. Now available in this oversize slipcase Absolute edition, complete with concept designs, scripts and other behind the scenes material!

Daytripper follows the life of one man, Bras de Olivias Dominguez. Every chapter features an important period in Bras' life in exotic Brazil, and each story ends the same way: with his death. And then, the following story starts up at a different point in his life, oblivious to his death in the previous story–and ends with him dying again. In every chapter, Bras dies at different moments in his life, as the story follows him through his entire existence–one filled with possibilities of happiness and sorrow, good and bad, love and loneliness. Each story rediscovers the many varieties of daily life, in a story about living life to its fullest–because any of us can die at any moment.
