Arune Singh Promoted To Director Of Communications At Marvel

It's at the bottom of the e-mail he sent to me earlier today.

A familiar face at Marvel's convention panels, I first met Arune Singh when he worked at Comic Book Resources as Jonah Weiland's number two, and as one of the folk who had to deal with the unwieldy, legal-attention-and-death-threat-attracting weekly Lying In The Gutters.

Now he has to deal with Bleeding Cool every day, just from the other side of the fence.

Well, he seems to have been rewarded for that hard work. And now he is a Director rather than a manager with a greater purview.

Also it's good to see a greater spread of ethnic diversity at Marvel by promoted a American-Canadian so high in the company. There's a lot of prejudice against American-Canadians in comics, it's good to see Marvel taking a stand here. Indeed, it's possible that Arune may be the most powerful American-Canadian in comics right now.

Would all Marvel employees please email me, so I can check the signature on your emails and work out who has been promoted and who hasn't? Thank you. It would save me a lot of work.
