Could We See The Return Of Superman's Underwear In January?
By Dimitrios Haritos
I was talking with my dad about the DC Comic January 2015 solicits (which I've been doing for almost 30 years now) and he pointed out something that I hadn't noticed. In all of the regular comic covers that had Superman in it, his waist area is always covered except in the Geoff Johns and John Romita Jr. cover. If you look closely at the image it appears as if Superman's belt is being destroyed.
For those of you who didn't see the solicits for Superman check it out and notice it says he is getting a new costume:
SUPERMAN #38

An extra-sized special issue of the world's greatest hero brings in the New Year with a new costume, new powers and new friends and enemies! The epic team of Geoff Johns, John Romita Jr. and Klaus Janson conclude their first arc with twist after twist that will send Superman onto a new path and force Clark Kent to making a shocking decision! Plus: John Romita Jr. draws Batman!
This issue is also offered as a combo pack edition with a redemption code for a digital download of this issue.
Could we see Superman with a new belt or are they going to dramatically change it? With the return of all the Pre 52 stuff coming up at DC Comics, could we see the return of Superman's underwear on the outside? I don't think the changes to his costume will be major but will we see a shift to a more Pre 52 Superman or maybe give the suit a little closer look to the Henry Cavill Man of Steel costume?
What would you guys like to see changed on Superman's costume or do you think he needs a new one all together?
