From today's Batgirl #19. Batgirl shares her secrets with her flatmate, Alysia. And Alysia shares a secret back again.

Alysia Yeoh first appeared in Batgirl #1, though it's only now that her backstory in this regard has been revealed. But she's not the first to have that aspect of themselves revealed. Because in Red Hood And The Outlaws #2, we met Suzie Su.

Her introduction in issue 2, wasn't exactly subtle.

Nevertheless, it took a convention appearance for writer Scott Lobdell to confirm that point, something he has yet to do in the comics themselves.

And, of nothing else, she is the first transgender villain of the New 52…
