Gareb Shamus Buys Connecticut Comic Con, Makes It A Wizard World

The first Gareb Shamus-purchased comics convention for 2011 has been announced – ComiCONN, the Connecticut comics convention. It will be renamed Wizard World Connecticut and will take place sometime next year. This makes a dozen  shows now owned by Gareb Shamus under the Wizard World banner.

As always the people who ran the previous show will run much of the new one, Erik Yacko, Joseph Stinson, Mitchell Hancock and Jay Claus. Indeed, as has happened before, no moeny may have changed hands in the deal, just a greater profile and access to guests and audiences arranged…
