150th Issue of Captain Marvel – Vol 5 #16 in March – to be a 'Very Important Issue'

Today's Captain Marvel #15 sees Carol Danvers battling Vox Supreme, while also trying to serve his megalomaniacal whims in capturing and killing the Avengers. And as this is the fourth issue of a five-issue story, he is winning…

But almost all Marvel titles today are running ads to celebrate 150 issues of Captain Marvel with Captain Marvel #16. And picking out significant issues from her various volumes over the decades, the Carol Danvers Ms Marvel and five volumes of Captain Marvel comics counted as one title, as well as the Life Of Captain Marvel mini-series.

Captain Marvel #16 by Kelly Thompson and Lee Garbett is described thus:

It's all come down to Captain Marvel versus Vox Supreme! Since discovering her Kree heritage, Carol Danvers has struggled to reconcile her human and her alien sides. Now she must fight for both – or lose everything. But Earth's Mightiest Hero has a new plan…will the power of the Avengers be enough to save the world?

And it has this rather striking cover from Mark Brooks too, with Carol Danvers wielding all the Avengers' weapons, including Mjolnir.

Out in March…

(W) Kelly Thompson (A) Lee Garbett (CA) Mark Brooks
Captain Marvel had 24 hours to kill five Avengers – and she's dangerously close to failing. Carol's plan was always flawed, but as she nears the endgame, those flaws are becoming fatal. As Vox Supreme's true plans for five dead Avengers emerge, it's more important than ever that Carol not fail today. Rated T+In Shops: Feb 19, 2020 SRP: $3.99

Captain Marvel #15 is out today from Marvel Comics… I bought mine from Piranha Comics in Kingston-Upon-Thames. Piranha Comics is a small south London comic store chain with a small south-east store in Kingston-Upon Thames's market centre, which runs Magic The Gathering nights on Fridays, and a larger south-west store in Bromley, which also runs Magic nights and has an extensive back issue collection and online store. If you are in the neighbourhood, check them out.
