The Justice League Take A Bath Twice In One Year

What goes around comes around faster underwater apparently. Just a year ago almost to the date, DC ran Arthur and his compatriots deep-sea diving on the cover to The New 52/DC You Aquaman #47 by Vicente Fuentes and now today The Aquaman Shrine has previewed Brad Walker's strikingly similar cover to Rebirth Aquaman #13 due out in two weeks — that's a lot of Justice Leagues under the sea!

Though now it seems that Superman needs a mask to breathe underwater.

Brad Walker has been doing some of the best work of his career on Aquaman but for those of you not reading the exploits of DC's King of the Seven Seas, has only done interior art for 3 of the first 12 issues despite being credited as lead artist on the series. Sources within DC cite his labor-intensive redesign of the Sea King's scale mail which requires time-consuming attention to detail  slowing him down considerably so we'll have to forgive Brad for rehashing cover content so soon to its original publication.

Maybe he just needs to splash some water on his face?
