Tuesday Trending Topics: DC, Kindle Fire, And The Digital Dilemma
Have to admit I bought a DC graphic novel on the Kindle Fire last night as soon as I saw they were available, just to see what it was like (the Fire's Kindle app is not nearly as polished as a comic reader as Comixology is, but it's adequate and I'm sure they'll keep iterating it). But as a longtime iPad user I have to say I've found the Fire a far more suitable comic reading device than I thought it'd be (the smaller-than-iPad size is notable, but less of an issue for comic reading than I anticipated), and with the emphasis they're giving to comics, and the price point, I can see this device (and competing devices like the Nook) advancing the popularity of digital comics in a substantial way over the next few months. One of the big questions lots of comics readers are going to be asking in the coming weeks is which device do you choose?

Booster Gold Live Action Drama For SyFy Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors
But we didn't expect one of their new projects to be DC Comics' Booster Gold. A pilot script for a hour long series has been comissioned, with Greg Berlanti (No Ordinary Family, Green Lantern) as exec producer and Andrew Kreisberg (Fringe) writing, with an exec producer credit for DC.
So, in the new Empire magazine, several quotes about The Dark Knight Rises reveal that:
Still, there's new Doctor Who Christmas special images, so I have to do something.
