Wednesday Runaround – From He-Man To Girls Girls Girls!
HeManWatch: Thanks to Welcome Friend Or Foe for these;
AmazonWatch: Superman Earth One makes an appearance on Amazon with a release date of September 7th, a price tag of $19.99 and a page count of 128 pages. And Amazon Canada is already doing discounts. One can presume Batman Earth One will be on a similar schedule.
SpockWatch: Hang on IDW, what colour is Spock's blood again? I'm sure Bones McCoy was quite clear on the matter.
MarvelWatch: Heidi runs a piece on new title Girl Comics that mentions, amongst others, Valerie D'Orazio and Punisher in the same paragraph. It also has an all-girl comics creator list, something Minx Comics never really thought through. Names include Kathryn Immonen, Marjorie Liu, Devin Grayson, Ann Nocenti, Trina Robbins, G. Willow Wilson, Stephanie Buscema, Amanda Conner, Jill Thompson, Louise Simonson, Valerie D'Orazio, Colleen Coover, Molly Crabapple, Nikki Cook, Ming Doyle, Abby Denson, and Carla Speed McNeil, edited by Jeanine Schaefer, with the first issue cover by Amanda Connera and Laura Martin.
I've heard of that Amanda Conner, wasn't she in the Wizard Top Ten hot Artists list the other month? Heidi states;
The first issue is planned for March to tie in with Women's History Month — 2010 is both the 30th anniversary of the founding of the National Women's History Project AND the first appearance of She-Hulk.
MillerWatch: The sequel to 300 will be called Xerxes.
CultureWatch: People do really go to "graphic novel groups"…
PilgrimWatch: Edgar Wright Jr twittered the following pic;
The /Film went and fixed the perspective…
IndiaWatch: The Cartoon Network launch their top characters as mobile phone comics in India, including Dexter, Ben 10, Powerpuff Girls and Johnny Bravo. Are these the DC-produced comics of the same names? If so is this the first time a DC-originated comics line has been published in this manner? You know, I mean, officially?
