Robot Chicken DC Special Has Creator Credits For Many Characters… But Not Batman?

Warners' Cartoon Network is broadcasting the Robot Chicken DC Special next month. Early copies have been well received. But one early viewer noticed something they thought Bleeding Cool might be interested in.

And they were right.

Ever since Bob Kane negotiated himself a rather exceptional deal with DC Comics, he has been credited on every appearance of the character with the legend "Batman created by Bob Kane" even though many of the contemporary and successive characters have not had such a credit, and many consider Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson to have had much of more of a role in the creation of the Batman legend. Siegel and Shuster were eventually credited with the creation of Superman and William Moulton Marston was similarly credited for Wonder Woman.

And while they all get credited in the Robot Chicken DC Special, as well as many who do not often get credited, such as Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson for Swamp Thing, Jack Kirby for Darkseid and Etrigan, Joseph Samachson and Joe Certa for Martian Manhunter and Paul Morris for Aquaman, there is one prominent credit missing.

That for Bob Kane.

Is someone at Robot Chicken making a point? Will someone at Warners notice? And will it be corrected for the broadcast version?
