Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway Team Up For Captain America & The Invaders: The Bahamas Triangle
Today, Bleeding Cool looked at the Legends Of Marvel collection for the end of the year, collecting all of Marvel's eightieth-anniversary one-shots.
Incredible Hulk: Last Call by Peter David and Dale Keown. The upcoming Wolverine one-shot by Chris Claremont and Salvador Larroca. Possibly the X-Statix one-shot from Peter Milligan and Michael Allred. And an unannounced Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz New Mutants one-shot.
But what of the credited Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway?
Well, that would be another one-shot for July, Captain America & The Invaders: The Bahamas Triangle. Thomas co-created The Invaders with Sal Buscema in Avengers #71 back in 1969.
March 1941. Assigned to safeguard President Roosevelt during a fishing trip in the Bahamas, the newly commissioned Cap endures his baptism under fire — while a German U-boat (carrying the Nazi super-soldier called Der Wunderkrieger (or Wonder Warrior) heads for the island chain's capital! His mission: to kidnap England's once-king, the Duke of Windsor, and sit him on the throne of a defeated Britain! But others happen to be in that part of the Atlantic as well — the once-bitter rivals the Sub-Mariner and the Human Torch!
As to what Louise Simonson is working on for this, we are still yet to learn…
