Starfox – Bisexual, Pansexual Or Omnisexual?

Marvel's character Starfox, Eternal, Titan, brother of Thanos, also known as Eros, god of love, has the ability to make people fall in love with him. Thousands of years old, he is the basis for the Earth myth of Eros.

The debate as to whether Starfox' power is considered sexual assault or rape is one that has been raised in recent years, the question as to whether his power makes people more receptive to him, or whether it takes away free will. It's never been entirely settled.

But in all his adventures, his partners have always been female – or rather, the female of the species.

In today's Thanos #1, we see Starfox with his harem.

image-65That does seem to be an invitation to Tryco Stallerus – who definitely appears to present as male, in a very Lobo-like fashion. As indeed does at least one of the individuals currently wrapped around Eros.

After all, who is an Eternak to discriminate? After hundred of thousands of years, have his tastes expanded? Bisexual? Pansexual? Omnisexual? We know Marvel doesn't like such labels…

image-66 Either way, Starfox's abilities don't seem to be working on Tyco… but then you need pleasure centres for them to work, whatever the species…

Thanos #1 by Jeff Lemire and Mike Deodato is published today.
