Superman's Memories Were Changed, Just Like Batman And Wonder Woman (Action Comics Spoilers)

Before the New 52 began, Geoff Johns, Richard Donner and Gary Frank created a six-issue series Superman: Secret Origin. It was, in many ways an attempt to do an Ultimate Spider-Man retelling of his origins, without showing Krypton. The attempt was superceded by the Earth One line, in which Geoff Johns and Gary Frank did similar with Batman.

So in today's Action Comics, we get a bit of a history lesson.

Restoring the more colourful and seventies vibe of Krypton, and giving Jor-El a beard again… just like in the holograms of him from Secret Origins back in 2009.

And done away with in the New 52 where he was clean shaven. Looks like Rebirth did away with all the barber shops on Krypton. There's a lot of that going around.

Oh look, Superbaby's first hair is a spit curl. And then we get a quick precis…

Well, of that Secret Origins series. Looks like that book is now the firmly entrenched origin of the new combined Superman.

Basically DC Comics is saying everyone need to go out and buy Secret Origin.
