The Swedish Rob Granito?

"Please Note: These oil paintings by Mike S. Mall are not the original artwork in any way. These pieces are the artists interpretation of the once original ink and pen artwork by  such amazing artists like Joe Jusko, Ron Garney, Tom Grummet, John Romita, Brian Bolland, Frank Frazetta, Alex Horley, Billy Tucci, Mark Sparacio and indeed many other great comic artists.

"Profound credits must therefore go to all the great artists and creators of the once original work of art. The artist have not in any way claimed that the artwork presented here are the original artwork, but rather very large original oil paintings, created and intended as an alternative for those who are not interested in mass-produced posters or prints.

"Our sincere apologies for any past missunderstanding"

These paragraphs were added to the website of one Mike S Mall, who had been rapidly earning the reputation of being the Swedish Rob Granito.

The legality of the pieces may be questionable, but at least they are now honest. If you look around his website. Mall is not, and never has been, actually claiming to work for Marvel or DC. And he is recreating these images in his own style, rather than photoshopping them.  Although some people do seem to have got a little annoyed by the whole affair…

The Swedish Rob Granito? The Swedish Rob Granito? The Swedish Rob Granito?
