Dance music pumping over the speakers, hot young bodies bounding off each other, alcohol, sweat, cheesy nibbles, that's what I think of when someone suggests a party.
But for comic shops it means a bunch of people hanging around in a comic shop at night to buy a comic.
Well that's what you'll be getting on August 14th for the Marvel Infinity Parties, happening at any participating comic stores.
All retailers have to do is order 150% of their Age of Ultron #2 numbers and you'll get one copy of Infinity #1 Party Sketch Variant, a free Infinity #1 Personalized variant, twenty lithographs with Infinity #1 Skottie Young art, twenty Infinity pins (order 175% and you'll get sixty), a hundred Infinity postcards, an extra 5% discount off the cost of the comics (order 200% and get even more discount) and being allowed to order unlimited numbers of the Infinity #1 Blank Variant, Skottie Young Variant, 1 copy of the Design Variant for every 50 orders, a Generals Variant for every 75 copies, a Hero Variant for every hundred copies, a Herosketch variant for every hundred and fifty copies, and a Djurdjevic Variant for every 200 copies.
Quite a party… and the odds are that Infinity #1 will be the best selling comic in August.
