Unsolicited Opinions On Angela's New Costume
This is how she began.
As warrior angels go, she was intended by writer Neil Gaiman to look a little more – covered. Furs, leathers, chain mail and the like, but artit Todd McFarlane went more for the Swimsuit Illustrated look.
This is how she entered the Marvel Universe as part of a series of incredibly complex legal manoeuvres.
Well, here is how she appears in the comics currently. Less of the skin, more of the warrior, less of the armour, more of the majesty, a lot closer to Neil Gaiman's original vision in fact.
And then both taking on the raiments of Hel, before discarding them and going to a true hell on Earth instead…
The next two issues may well be the title's final issues, for April and May, which give us two rather different cover looks, which go a little back to the Todd look.
But here is how she is looking in this new Loki/Politics comic from Marvel, coming out in June, slightly more of an Asgarian look. Oh and the FBI shades as well, of course. Is she's her newly-discovered half-brother Loki's security in his run for office? If so, that's one hell of an earpiece she's sporting…
There must be a style guide out there somewhere for her…
