Vancouver's Bus Stops Turn Into Comic Book Pages
Forget #BatmanDay. Vancouver is celebrating comic books for two months. As Comics In Transit takes over the city's bus stops. Created by Cloudscape Comics, twenty giant-sized one-page comics have been appearing throughout September and October, each giving an insight into another city around the globe.
The comics have been created by the likes of local artists Colin Upton, Steve Rolston, Chloe Chan, Edison Yan, Jordyn Bochon, John Christmas, Sean Karemaker, James Lloyd and more.
Public transport ads have often been noted for their ability to convey long form information, as you have a captive audience looking for something to pass the next few minutes. Comic books seem to fit that wonderfully.
