WindMaker – Reimagining African History And Mythology For Comic Books

Windmaker: The History of Atala by Roye Okupe and Godwin Akpan is one part art book, one part graphic novel prequel that pulls from the depths of African mythology, from dragons, to mythical relics, a feuding royal family and magical swords, this book takes fantasy tropes into an African setting.

The newest addition to the YouNeek YouNiverse is getting a 500 copy hardcover print run, and works as a prequel to their graphic novels Malika: Warrior Queen and WindMaker: Return of a King and is the first art book in the continuity of a shared universe of graphic novels called the YouNeek Youniverse.

Malika: Warrior Queen will also be avialable, free, on Free Comic Book Day from comic shops the world over.
