Starbreeze Studios Will Be Celebrating Payday's 10th Anniversary

Starbreeze Studios are breaking out the balloons and champagne as they're spending the next 10 days celebrating Payday's 10th Anniversary. The group will be releasing special videos, as well as a livestream on October 22nd, hyping up the franchise and also giving people a peek at what's to come. You can read the rundown of what they got planned as well as check out a few quotes from today's announcement, as we look forward to possibly finally seeing some major revealed for Payday 3.

For the next ten days, fans across the world will be able to enjoy a variety of updates and celebrations both in the game and in the community, culminating in an anniversary celebration livestream on Friday, October 22.

• Fans will also be able to enjoy community competitions and discounts on the entire Payday catalogue for the duration of the event, ending on Thursday, October 28.
• Starting October 20 the celebration will make its way into Payday 2, with all players who log in gifted an exclusive in-game Anniversary Outfit, as well as a limited-time game-mode where shooting festive balloons grant temporary buffs for extra-festive Heisting.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary, Starbreeze also announced "10 Years of Payday," a four part documentary series and livestream, celebrating the game's legacy and impact. The series will take a look at the past, present, and ongoing legacy of the franchise. In addition, Starbreeze will be sharing a few new details around Payday Crime War and Payday 3.

• The first episode launches today, with new episodes releasing sequentially, leading up to the anniversary live stream on October 22. Each episode will focus on a particular time period across the last 10 years of Payday and can be viewed on the Anniversary Website or at this YouTube channel.
