Xbox Boss Says Original Xbox Games Could Also Become Backwards Compatible
Xbox One's backwards compatible announcement at E3 was one of the biggest to come out of the show. I was in the room when it was announced and it nearly took the roof off.
But how far could it go back? On Twitter, one fan asked Xbox boss Phil Spencer if we could one day expect to see original Xbox games playable on the Xbox One. To my surprise, Spencer let on that it is certainly feasible. He responded:
That is weird to think about. If the Xbox One could reach back two generations, that would be a huge get. I mean, in terms of how many people would use it, I don't think it would be that much, but it would be a hell of a back of the box selling point.
